Front yard desert-scape

What do you do with a yard full of weeds and an outdated, dysfunctional irrigation system? XERISCAPE! We had a client ask us to transform their weed-infested front-yard with a xeriscaped, water-wise front-yard that they could enjoy.

We were thrilled with the idea of taking on this project and were able to help design and build out a yard that the homeowner could be proud of. At the client's request - we made a dry creek bed to help break up the yard, and added a couple of variations in rock texture, size, and color to help bring the project together.

Lastly, we set the client up with a drip system and planted drought-tolerant/low-water plants to help accent the rock-scape.

Walkway + mulch beds

This project was a lot of fun to work on as we were able to try out a few new things that have now become a staple in our projects. The client wanted us to clean up an area that was over-run with weeds so that they could eventually plant some of their favorite plants, as well as have a dedicated walkway leading from the side of the house to the driveway.

For this project, we utilized metal edging to provide a solid border between the mulch beds and existing gravel driveway and walkways, as well as making a new compacted gravel path that should help keep the weeds at bay while staying low-maintenance.

We removed the existing weeds and topsoil and added amended soil to help any new plants the owner wants to plant get a good start. Lastly, we put a layer of cardboard down and covered with a thick layer of mulch to help get nutrients back into the ground and help suppress any lingering weed seeds!

Yard clearing

We completed a backyard cleanup project focused on reclaiming a space that had become overrun with invasive elm trees, scattered firewood piles, and miscellaneous debris left behind by the previous homeowner. Using our equipment, we efficiently cleared the property, removing unwanted growth and debris that had been limiting the homeowner’s ability to use and enjoy the space.

By the end of the project, the yard was cleared and ready for the next phase of improvements. The transformation gave the homeowner a clean, open foundation to begin shaping the yard into something they can truly enjoy.

Yard cleanup, paver patio install, sod install

We completed a full yard renovation for a  client, transforming an overgrown and underutilized space into a clean, functional outdoor area. The project came with access challenges, but we worked through them to deliver high-quality results.

The yard was initially filled with weeds and scattered gravel. We began by clearing the space, removing all existing debris and vegetation. From there, we installed a custom paver patio that gives the client a comfortable and attractive area to enjoy and entertain. To complete the transformation, we laid fresh sod throughout the yard and added a decorative rock border along the vinyl fence. This border not only enhances the look of the space but also serves a practical purpose—preventing damage from weed trimmers along the fence line.

The finished result is a clean, well-structured yard that’s both beautiful and low-maintenance.

Yard cleanup

We completed a detailed yard cleanup for a property that had become overrun with debris and overgrowth. Several decorative rock islands were buried under a thick layer of pine needles and leaf buildup, obscuring their shape. There was also several invasive bushes that we removed from the property to restore a clean look and feel.

We removed three full dump trailer loads of organic debris from the property, restoring clarity and structure to the landscape. We also addressed a major issue with overgrown juniper bushes that had begun encroaching on the sidewalk and pressing against the fence. After carefully trimming them back, we were able to relieve pressure on the fence and restore safe, clear access along the walkway.

The result is a clean, refreshed yard with sharply defined rock island edges and a much more open, cared-for appearance.
